OCPT Develops Leadership Skills in a Proud Parent

No one knows better about the importance of quality early education than Tracy Valdovinos. For the past 6 years, she has developed a close relationship with the staff at OCPT.

"For all three of my girls, each time one of them turned three years old, my birthday present to them was to sign them up to OCPT's program," she adds. All three young daughters, Cassandra, Priscilla and Arianna, participated in OCPT's preschool program, giving them a head start in school and in life.

The benefit has not only been for her daughters, as Tracy became very active in the leadership roles at her daughters' preschools, as well as the Policy Committee group at the agency level. These leadership roles helped her inspire many other parents to get involved in their children's education.

In June 2010, her youngest daughter completed her last year in our preschool program, but Tracy sought after another leadership opportunity. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for OCPT as a proud parent and community member.
