We begin preparing children for kindergarten the day they begin in our high-quality preschool classrooms. Teaching staff use Creative Curriculum which focuses on building children’s skills especially in the areas of cognitive development, language and literacy, social-emotional development, and physical development. Throughout the year, our teachers hold home visits and conferences with parents to discuss how their child’s skills are progressing and become more prepared to enter Kindergarten.

OCPT provides high-quality preschool programs to 480 children, ages 3-5, at six child development centers. Our Head Start and State Preschool programs are designed to better prepare children to enter kindergarten, and to ultimately enhance their chances of succeeding in life.
